The hotel has really nice rooms with great beds and bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, and despite being huge, it's well soundproofed, so you get some really good sleep. The booking process was smooth, and the room was kids friendly with cute decorations including a bunk bed and an extra pull-over mattress; I even got an upgrade, which was a nice surprise.

The hotel gave us access to the Kinabalu Club lounge where we had breakfast in peace away from the hoards of Chinese tourists, a real gem with staff like Helivia, Norman, Linda, and Johnny who took great care of us. Overall, like any other UK hotel, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, but it was very noisy at times.
